- GMM’s standard shade net has tiny holes that allow hot air to escape through the roof of the structure. Even with these holes, the standard netting has a high “water run off rate” of up to 93% which tends to keep the area underneath the shade structure partially dry.
- 100% water run-off can be achieved however with our fully waterproof shade netting. GMM’s fully waterproofed shade netting is made with the same HDPE fabric but with an additional LDPE polymer coating to ensure a 100% water run-off.
- For instances where a fire rated product is required, GMM uses a world-first HDPE fire retardant fabric which has been approved and certified for the NFPA 701 and the California State Fire Marshall Title for small and large flame tests.
